Library cards
Lloydminster residents
If you are a resident of Lloydminster or own property within the city limits you may apply for a library card at no charge. We can also issue cards to Saskatchewan residents within the Lakeland Library Region boundaries who are not served by a local branch library.
Library cards can be issued to people of any age. If you are under 14 years of age you will need to have your parent or guardian present to sign the registration form and accept responsibility for all use made of the card.
Library cards may be used only by the person to whom it issued and must be presented each time you borrow materials. Please contact the library immediately if you lose your card or change your address or telephone number. A charge of $3 is made for lost or stolen cards.
Not from Lloydminster?
We welcome computer barcoded library cards issued by TAL members (Alberta libraries) and any Saskatchewan public library. You may reserve and borrow any materials in our collection and use the Internet.
County of Vermilion River residents can obtain Northern Lights Library System TRAC cards from public libraries in Marwayne, Paradise Valley and Vermilion. Your TRAC card allows you to reserve and borrow items from LPL and use the Internet. Interlibrary loan is only available through your home library.
Computer barcoded library cards from communities outside Alberta and Saskatchewan may be accepted with other valid ID. Some limits on borrowing will apply.
A library card is not required to use library materials within the library.
